Toilet Safety Sign

A special thank you to Chris Hamann (glidrz5) for her wonderful artwork, and to Jen (Xfilefan) for allowing us to use her glider, Riker, as the model...

For the safety of your gliders, please print this picture and then put it up in all of your bathrooms to remind people to keep the lid closed. This small measure could very well save your glider's life! Sadly, toilet drownings are one of the most common accidental deaths of sugar gliders. Although gliders can swim and float for brief periods of time, they do not have the strength to do so for very long. Because of toilet's slippery, sloped sides, once a glider falls into the toilet, there is no way for it to get back out again on its own...

One option is to print this sign onto blank window clings and then stick it onto your toilet tank, as shown below (the text style & formatting has been changed since this picture was taken...) However, keep in mind that if your bathroom gets really steamy, the ink may run. Another option is to print it out and then frame it so you can place it on the wall above the tank.
