No Sew Cube Step-by-Step Instructions
Originally created by Glider Central's "khyricat" (Amie), she requested that I post how-to instructions so others could make these wonderful pouch/nesting boxes on their own. This is a rather complicated project that I have simplified to the best of my ability. I suggest that you practice by making a few No Sew Pouches before attempting this project...

Materials Needed:
- 4 - 12"x12" fleece pieces
- 2 - 9"x12" fleece pieces
- 4 - Swivel, Clasp Hooks on Keyrings
- 1 - Pair Sharp, Sewing Scissors

Step 1: Cut 3" square from 2 corners along 12" edge of both 9"x12" pieces of fleece. Cut 3" square from all 4 corners of all 12"x12" pieces of fleece.

Step 2: Cut 3/4"x3" fringes along 3 "short" sides of 9"x12" pieces of fleece. Make sure you have 8 fringes per side, as shown (this is very important for matching up & tying off fringes in later steps).

Step 3: Cut 3/4"x3" fringes along all four sides of 12"x12" pieces of fleece. Make sure you have 8 fringes per side, as shown (this is very important for matching up & tying off fringes in later steps).
Step 4: Take 1 piece of 12"x12" fleece and lay flat on work-surface, then carefully lay 1 piece of 9"x12" fleece on top of it so that fringes and corners are aligned on all matching sides.

Step 5: Tie a double-knot into each aligned pair of fringes along one side, as shown. (Please note that in the illustration, the lavender piece of fleece will end up being the "top" of the completed cube and the blue piece will end up being "right side" of the completed cube.)

Step 7: Lay one 12"x12" piece of fleece across top of tied-on 9"x12" piece of fleece (lavender piece in illustration) so that fringes at the "end" line up with each other as shown. (In illustration, the yellow piece of fleece will end up being the "left side" of the completed cube.)
Step 8: Tie double-knots into aligned pairs of fringes along "end" of aligned pieces of fleece, as shown.

Step 9: Take 1 piece of 12"x12" fleece and lay flat on work-surface, then carefully lay remaining piece of 9"x12" fleece on top of it so that fringes and corners are aligned on "bottom" edge, as shown.

Step 10: Tie a double-knot into each aligned pair of fringes along bottom edge, as shown. (In illustration, the multi-colored piece of fleece will end up being the "front" of the completed cube and the burgundy piece will end up being the "bottom" of the completed cube.)

Step 12: Lay last 12"x12" piece of fleece across top of tied-on 12"x12" piece of fleece (burgundy piece in illustration) so that fringes at the "end" line up with each other as shown. (In illustration, the green piece of fleece will end up being the "back" of the completed cube.)

Step 13: Tie double-knots into aligned pairs of fringes along "end" of aligned pieces of fleece, as shown.
At this point, you have previously combined the top piece with the two sides of the cube and you have now combined the front with the bottom and back of the cube. (Note that if completed properly, one "trio" of combined pieces will have the 9"x12" piece at the center of the trio; the other trio will have the 9"x12" piece at one of the ends of the trio, as shown)
Step 14: Turn over, and lay flat, the trio of fleece that you just completed (the front, back and bottom of the cube), as shown.
Step 15: Lay trio with "top" of cube across trio with "front" of cube, aligning "top" (or center of trio) with the "back of cube" (in illustration, the lavender piece of fleece is aligned over top of the green piece of fleece) at the end. The trios will be aligned at right angles to each other, forming an inverted "T". Align the pairs of fringes, as shown.
Step 18: Fold "top" (lavender fleece) of cube over at angle so that fringes of "right side" (blue fleece) align with fringes of "back" (green fleece), as shown.

Step 21: Fold "top" (lavender fleece) of cube over at angle so that fringes of "left side" (yellow fleece) align with fringes of "back" (green fleece), as shown.

Step 24: Fold over so that fringes along edge of "right side" (blue) align with fringes along edge of "bottom" (burgundy), as shown.

Step 26: Fold over so that fringes along edge of "left side" (yellow) align with fringes along edge of "bottom" (burgundy), as shown.

At this point, your cube should be almost complete with only the "front" still needing to be attached.

Step 28: Fold cube over onto "front" (multi-colored) piece, aligning fringes of "left side" (yellow) with fringes of "front".

Step 30: Fold cube over onto "front" (multi-colored) piece, aligning fringes of "right side" (blue) with fringes of "front".
Step 32: Slip one keyring, with swivel clasp attached, over one fringe at top, front corner of cube. Pull another fringe up and tie a double-knot around keyring.
