Joey Development Study

In an ongoing effort to further our knowledge of sugar gliders in captivity, we are seeking information about Joey Development. This study was prompted by a thread in the Breeding & Babies forum of GliderCENTRAL entitled "Joey Weight Chart?"

If you have one or more breeding pairs of gliders, you are invited to participate in this study. Please keep in mind that in order to be comprehensive, you will need to weigh your joeys each and every day from the time they come out of pouch (detached from the mother's teat) until they are fully weaned and separated from their parents. We are deeply appreciative to all who are willing to participate in this study.

Please print out the Vital Statistics Chart and complete it each day. Once your joey is fully weaned, come back and submit your data here.

If your joey was supplement fed at all, please complete Question #'s 8 - 11. (If not supplemented, skip to Question #12.)
If your joey was hand raised at all, please complete Question #'s 13 - 15. (If not hand raised, skip to Question #16.)
The next few questions are regarding the joey's parents. This information is important in determining whether the parents' diet, age and size are contributing factors in joey development.
For the next section, please enter the data about the joey's weight in grams for each day. If you missed a day here or there, please just put an asterisk * into the field for that particular day.
The following questions are identification information about you and your joey, this will help to distinguish the different "subjects" for the study and will give me contact information in case there are any questions about the data that you have submitted. Your contact information will remain confidential and will not be used for any solicitation purposes, nor will it be sold or otherwise distributed to other parties.
Thank you for contacting us. We will get back to you as soon as possible
